Disruption Of Bad Habits With Doctor Video Chat St Petersburg FL

By Anthony King

If you pay close attention to your daily activities, you ll realize that you perform some of them without even thinking, your body decides on its own to do them without consulting you. It is because the mind has stored those activities in the brain as habits. About 40% of a person s actions are from habits than they are from decisions. A good start of reshaping your life is to get rid of bad habits being assisted by Doctor Video Chat St Petersburg FL.

The brain is trying to minimize its efforts so that it may focus on other new things. When it sees that you follow a certain routine every day, it will memorize it so that in the coming days it will stop making decisions on which step to take and which not to take regarding that routine. It then makes that a habit. This routine is stored in a part of a brain called the basal ganglia.

This is an example of how a habit is formed. Firstly a person is taught how to drive, their brain works hard the first time when the person is taught to drive, it doesn t even have time to check other things like the color of the t-shirt a pedestrian is wearing outside, it is just too busy multitasking on turning the wheel and checking the rear windows while at it. This is a time where the brain is being utilized fully in decision-making.

The more you drive the easier it will be and you will realize that you re no longer paying that much attention, you can speak, listen to the radio or think about other things while driving. This is because the pattern is already stored in the basal ganglia and when you get into your car it pulls the pattern and you ll start driving unthinkingly.

Neurologists have found out that habit formation follows is like coding, it follows a certain model. Three things trigger it, reminder, routine and reward. When the car is ignited, then the basal ganglia identifies the habit and pull it up for use. After that, you ll take action by following the pulled routine and then you ll get rewarded by arriving at your destination.

If something changes in the routine, the basal ganglia will then be confused and the rest of the brain will wake up and start to work. For example, if you change from a manual to an automatic car, you will realize that you ll no longer drive with ease like when you used your old car. You can use this principle to get rid of your bad habits.

First, you ll have to find out what triggers that bad habit, what reminds you to do it. For example, you might find out that you eat a lot when you are sad which lead to why you gained unwanted fat.

Then confuse the basal ganglia system by making a change, instead of eating when you feel sad, exercise and form a new good habit.
