Palladium Engagement And Wedding Rings - Perfect For Us

By Davies Khan

I got engaged recently. What I had felt then was beyond words. I have been waiting for so long that I have hinted some things to him. I was talking to a friend about within earshot of him, and luckily he took the bait. That had appalled my friend. She asked why. I told her that I might not like the guy who proposed to me. It happened to me one time, I blurted. Oh! She apparently wanted to hear more from me. So I told her that he was not even my boyfriend. Marrying me was just something he wanted to do. Upon hearing our topic, my boyfriend came over and listened to my story. So yesterday when my boyfriend proposed, he did not bring a ring. I was very delighted because he remembered. He took me to a jewellery retailer instead and made me choose from a selection of bespoke engagement rings uk and palladium wedding rings.

I looked at my boyfriend if he would be amenable to the idea of buying a set of rings so the designs would not clash. My boyfriend liked my idea and told me to go ahead. I beamed at him and kissed him on the cheek. I wanted to show him that I would be forever be indebted to him. Us choosing our engagement and wedding rings together is something that I have dreamed of for a long time. He said all he wanted from our rings is that they should be white. I can choose any design I want as long as the bands are made of palladium.

I asked him why he chose palladium as the bands for both our engagement and wedding rings. He smiled and said that he already researched the advantages and disadvantages of using palladium over platinum and gold and silver. Besides that he really liked to wear white rings, he said. He added that palladium rings are less expensive and lighter than platinum. Also, jewellery pieces made from palladium are designed to reduce or minimize the possibility of an allergic response. I was curious why he chose palladium so I asked him. He was able to do his own research and found out how using palladium can be beneficial. He also indicated that he preferred white-hued rings than the yellow gold ones. It turned out that palladium are less expensive than platinum. It's also good to know that palladium rings are are hypoallergenic.

Rings made of palladium will retain the whiteness of the metal when they were first made just like platinum. The white properties of both these metals are natural and natural so there's no need for plating. Gold, on the other hand, needs to go through Rhodium plating. Gold in its most natural form is yellow in color. To turn it to white in "white gold," the Rhodium plating treatment is necessary. This process is not permanent so the rings made of gold need to be treated again to maintain their whiteness.

The ring I chose as my engagement ring looked like a rose. Well, not a rose exactly. But I'm sure it looks like a flower. There's a center diamond with four claws settings. Then there are four petal-like decorations around the center diamond. The "petals" have very fragile designs. I neglected to ask the saleslady if the "petals" are also made of palladium. Then there are two series of diamonds on the shoulder going up to the "petals." And our wedding rings are thought half eternity rings. The brilliant cut diamonds have channel set and the rings have a court shape. My boyfriend and I decided to buy now for we found the rings that are perfect for us.
