Often times we think that we have to put up our own resistance against a front that some other person creates against us. Being a bit confrontational can be thought of as a pretty sexy...but it's really not. But actually, there really is only 1 thing that breaks down walls: being gentle.
We reside in a tough world. Without doubt are there significant acts of bravery, fervour, notability and heroism that run through the streams of hate - but the truth of the matter is those acts of hate themselves truly begin to create a drain on our minds. Our past impedes us from living in the present, turns us into pessimistic beings sometimes and our built view continues our story until we or somebody else comes in helping us break out of that cycle. This disbelief about life and humanity can be astonishingly hard and damn near impossible to deal with. But that really is the point.
You are not supposed to fight it.
You are simply meant to have a soft touch.
We require more people in this world who are tough enough to be ridiculously gentle.
To love without condition. To give themselves despite being ungiven to. To give the world their best, day in and day out without any expectation of return. We need a load more of those honest people in this world. As I have found through this journey, life isn't about expecting a return. The times I have felt myself unhappiest were the instances when I had expectations for those around me. Shakespeare himself asserted, "Expectation is the root of all heartache." He appeared to have it right. When we are expecting people to do particular things or act certain ways we are going to often be disappointed. Don't expect. You can only control yourself.
Never let anyone else's perspective about life decide your own.
Take into account that everyone is going through something or other. It's really easy to be hard on people. But I know that's not why I am here. I certainly have been hard on people close to me a lot in the past. But now my opinion is that my only job is to keep to my values and go all through life spreading kindness and light. What other people do is none of my business. Sure some of it "happens" to me, but that makes it even more important to stay true to what I am doing.
You can't go all through life by avoiding having experiences and deep relationships with people. You have got to put your heart on the line and learn. The only real way I ever got to this revelation is by trying again and again. Regardless of how badly things go, you've got to keep on going. Truly allow the negatives to make you more bold.
Don't waste time worrying about things that are not for you. Not everyone is going to love your brand. If you set a high quality standard for yourself - call yourself Hermes - not everybody is going to want to buy that. Don't fret about the folks that hate on your brand. Continue your journey toward turning into the best person you can probably be and take aim higher and higher. By the day let your goals get larger. Always be contesting with your potential.
Remember - be delicate with those around you. Love your heart out. Strength is truly shown in many ways.
