One of the most interesting questions of today would be whether there is a place to go after death. Now for many years, people have been asking themselves is there life after death or is there just a void of nothingness. Of course humans, being inquisitive as ever, have come up with a lot of theories that would try to shed some light on this ever bothering question.
Of course the most famous of all the beliefs would be the Heaven and Hell theory which can be found in pretty much all the religions there. The basic concept of this theory is that if one is good during his lifetime, then he will be able to enjoy himself forever in Heaven whereas if he has been bad, then he has to go through eternal suffering in Hell.
Of course there is also the very famous belief that if one would die, he would become a ghost. Of course one is probably familiar with all the ghost stories of people that have died and have come back to visit the living. This theory would state that ghosts are apparitions that have not gone to the afterlife.
Another would be the famous Hindu theory of reincarnation that is based on karma points. Basically, if one would accumulate good karma points, he will be reborn as someone who is in the higher caste system. If he is bad while is alive, he will be reborn as someone in the lower caste system, or even worse, an animal or insect.
Science also has their own take on the big afterlife debate with the quantum physics theories. The theory of the infinite universes would state that a person does not actually die and that he is actually made out of atoms that would be split into many different parts of the world. So actually, since his atoms would split into other parts of the world, he will live on in those objects as his consciousness still exists there.
Of course the theory of parallel universes is a very famous one. Now this theory would state that a human is made out of energy and when he dies, his energy will move up to another parallel universe. It is actually very similar to the reincarnation theory but it adds scientific calculations to it.
Now there would also be biocentrism which would also make use of the multiverse theory but now with the theory of the space and time continuum. In this theory, the human consciousness would control how a person would perceive life so this means that if he believes that space and time does not exist, then it will not. So when he dies, his consciousness would actually just float all the way to another universe which would make him immortal.
So as one can see, many interesting theories regarding the afterlife exist. So the big question would be which one is the real one. No one can really tell for sure unless he has already died.
