Tips To Help You Find Cheap Bibles

By Harriett Crosby

If you are going through a difficult situation or if you are a Christian and want to grow and mature in your faith it is necessary to have a Bible. If you are on a tight budget, there are some steps you can take to help you find cheap bibles. By knowing what steps to take you will find affordable books to buy.

Contacting a church that is near you is one of the best ways to get a low priced church. This is because some churches have bookstores and they may stock low priced books. The other option is to ask them to sell you any books that may have been left behind and their users have never been found. Most churches would be willing to sell them to you at a low price.

You can buy inexpensive books from organizations that publish them. Often, such organizations strive to make the books affordable to as many people as possible. You can send them a request or payment and they will mail out the book to you. You may have to cover the cost of shipping in some instances.

The other thing you can do is to buy the books in bulk. This will qualify you to get discounts, which will reduce your overall purchasing price. You can make orders from bible societies as most of them are willing to provide reasonable pricing for bulk orders. You can also contact your local bookstore to see if they would be willing to give you quantity discounts for large purchases.

To find a low priced book, find editions that are in wide circulation as they tend to cost much less. Avoid limited editions or books that have been out of print for many years, as these tend to cost much more. Compare the costs of the different translations, since they are often priced differently. Check out different stores and find a store whose prices are relatively low.

Second hand books tend to cost much less than used books. Take time to find a second hand book that is still in good condition and you can still use. Some major areas to check when buying a second hand book include the cover, inside pages and binding.

Check with individuals or sellers that tend to stock low priced books. This includes attending garage sales and book auctions. You may end up getting good quality books that may only have been used a couple of times. You may also check out flea markets as sellers often don't know the value of the books and may be willing to sell them at throw away prices.

It is not that difficult to find cheap bibles. You just need to be patient and take time to look around. Whatever budget you have, you can be able to purchase your own book. Just have an open mind and be willing to try out a number of options to find what you are looking for.
