Know When You Need To Change Your Time Management To Get More Done

By Alex McRight

There are several situations indicative that your productivity is so bad you need to work on your time management. Somehow you have the feeling you are stuck, but despite being busy throughout the day you don't feel like you have accomplished during the day. In the following are some situations described that show why you need a change to get more done.

You permanently feel like you are running behind a speeding train. You seem to be too slow to keep up with your daily challenges despite the fact that you are giving your very best.

Whenever under pressure, you are making ridiculous promises concerning your deadlines. You know you will not finish your tasks in time, but that does not hold you back. You are in way over your head.

Just last week you forgot your sisters birthday again and it is not the first time you totally blanked out on important dates. It is not that you don't care you are just living in your own time zone.

Unexpected events are plenty in life, but they hit you hard. Even it is something small like another day at the body shop for your car, a missed due date for the credit card payment, a leaking sink, it tips you off your balance and sucks all energy and focus out of you.

Every morning it takes you a very long time to get really started. There are just too many tasks that need to get done and you have trouble to set priorities. Even worse they keep changing through the day.

You are afraid to answer the phone at work, because it could mean more work or questions about where you are at with your projects. The reality is that you have no clue how much is left to be done. You feel like a dark cloud is permanently hanging over your head.
