Finding out that you are allergic to gluten is not always that fun because it means you have big adjustments to make. It is time to stay away from the pasta and pizza. You have to be strong and say no to cake at the next party. This can be particularly tough for kids. However, with the amount of gluten free recipes and other resources online, you will find that the adjustment is easier than you think.

They are not only tasty, but the health benefits are great. It means that you will be given more energy over time. This is especially evident with children. There is less sugar in the blood. They will be eating things like wraps instead of white bread which are just as tasty. They will be getting into the habit of eating tasty salads.

There are unusual vegetables available which you don't always find on your dinner plate, such as edamame beans and kale. This can be mixed into a salad. It makes a great Thai salad. Some people like to make this a little more spicy. Add different types of proteins or simply leave this to suit a vegetarian.

However, you need to go easy on the fruit because of the sugar that it contains. This is a whole meal that can be served up for dinner as well

Instead of a boring old breakfast cereal, it can be a good idea to try a smoothie. Most people don't get tired of smoothies. You can try them as a snack during meals. You can also add oats to bowl along with the contents of a smoothie. There are so many variations that you can make, it is unbelievable. Kids enjoy these and they resemble a milkshake so it is a win win.

There are great breakfasts you can make with oats and yogurt, mixed with fruit. Classics are not to be forgotten. It is important to eat a lot of protein because this will keep you going throughout the day. It is a lot better than eating carbohydrates. When you feel as if you are missing out on your carbs, you will discover that there is a lot that you can turn to.

In the winter months, there is nothing better than tucking into a nice stew or soup. This could be something chunky such as beef with a mixture of vegetables, braised with onions. You could have a smooth tomato sauce as well, with a touch of pesto. If you want to turn this into something creamy, just add coconut milk.

Gluten free wraps are so tasty. There are a number of variations to make. You can think of a main protein, such as beef or chicken, along with stir fried vegetables or something more chunky. There are themes to stick to, such as Moroccan or Thai which is quite popular. They are easy to pack in a lunchbox. You can also take these to work with you. It is difficult to get bored on this type of a diet.
