Avoiding Meat With Vegetarian Pho Recipes

By Virginia Adams

For the majority of its existence, human society was composed of nomadic hunter gatherers. People banded together in disparate tribes and moved from place to place in search of food. But humanity eventually settled down. For practical reasons, these early settlements were built close to sources of water like rivers and lakes, since the crops they were growing, the chattel they were raising, and they themselves all needed water. This endeavor proved to be very successful. Humankind flourished, the population grew exponentially, and some of these early settlements would eventually become great cities. Through all of that change, centuries of war and generations of technological innovation, one thing remained constant. People kept on getting hungry. Food stopped being a scarce resource to be fought over and instead became a basic necessity that all individuals were entitled to. Now, in some parts of the world, there is such an abundance that some people can be a little fastidious about what they consume. Which is why some cook using vegetarian pho recipes.

A lot of east and southeast Asian countries will often have noodle dishes. Pho is a Vietnamese noodle dish. It is served warm and is made from rice noodles with beef or chicken. But either of those can be substituted with something else, since there are many meat substitutes on the market that are purported to taste like the genuine article.

Humans are omnivorous. This means that their digestive systems are able to adapt to a variety of foods. Early humans were hunter gatherers, which meant that they both killed fauna and foraged for flora in order to avoid starvation. But some people decide to be completely herbivorous and stick to a plant based diet.

The meat industry is an enterprise worth billions. Meat is also very tasty and many culturally significant dishes are made with meat. As such, it can be difficult to find recipes that substitute animal flesh for something plant based. But there are many chefs out there that have released such recipes. In fact, as people become more conscious of their eating, more and more vegan and vegetarian recipes are becoming moire widely available.

Switching to a vegetarian diet is a conscious choice that many people will make. Those people may not appreciate how the meat industry conducts itself as it cuts down forests in order to make room for chattel to graze. Other people simply find beef, chicken, and pork to be unpalatable. Of course, some also find that eating a living thing is unethical or immoral.

Human beings are highly adaptable. The fact of the matter is that a person can adjust to any number of diets. A vegetarian diet just happens to be one in which the main foods are packed with all kinds of nutrients that a body needs.

As a dish, pho is incredibly popular. Not only is it popular in its native country, it has global appeal. Pho appears as a dish in many restaurants all over the world.

The popularity of the dish has led to restaurants that specialize in serving it in various forms. A restaurant will generally have the beef and chicken varieties. But it will also have a vegetarian option and use an appropriate recipe.

People need to eat. They are always going to need to eat. But it is up to them to decide what to eat.
