How To Make School Mascot Murals

By Christine Olson

Try remembering a time where you still were not in school anymore. If we guessed it right, you probably cannot remember a moment wherein you were stress free from that. This actually is pretty relatable to all of us. The parents always forced their kids to do good and school and to never quit, no matter what.

Judging from how we picture it out for you, it might sound like an exaggeration of what really happened. Unfortunately, that really is how things rolled before. Not to worry though, it actually will contribute good stuff for you when the time comes. But before that happens, try killing some time by making school mascot murals.

Ever since the beginning of time, one way to relieve stress or just expressing your own self was made through making wonderful pieces of artwork. It has many different designs and styles because every feeling and emotion is never the same too. There really is no better way than to show how you truly feel.

Before anything else, the first thing that needs to be done is plan everything out first. We mean this in the most literal way ever. Not a single detail can be left out since this has the capability of messing things up for you. To achieve absolute perfection, extreme accuracy and care is needed.

Number two is to decide on and finalize the measurements of the thing you will do. Size actually matters. But then again, this also depends on the space you are working on. It probably would be better to use a big portion of space so that your work gets easily seen by people who are actually interested or just passing by.

Third is to clear and prepare the spot or location where you will be placing your mural. Since it is called mural for a reason, you are expected to place it on a wall somewhere or probably a pile of lockers. Whatever the case, see to it that the coast is clear already. This way, no hassle will come to you while working.

Fourth is to paint everything in one color first. Place those different hues right after you make a base color of your surface. This way, it makes balancing and blending everything out way more messier than how it originally is supposed to be. Try something light like white or pastel colors for an easier handle.

Since you currently are dealing with paint, erasing your mistakes and mess ups are way easier said than actually done. But then again, nobody is ever perfect. We are bound to mess up every now and then. To make the burden lighter, work your way from the back to the front to avoid having to erase the entire thing.

When everything else has been said and done, it all boils down to making sure that your work of art does not get erased over the course of time and other external elements and contributors. Make it have a longer life span by using a sealer as the guard or protection from these said elements.
