The Flag Company Inc And Kyrgyzstan Flag

By Lorence Douglas

The region now known as Kyrgyzstan has seen many invasions and colonisations over the centuries. First settled during the pre-historic period, it became home to Scythian clans during the 1st millennium BC before coming under the control of various Turkic alliances from the 6th century onwards, a period in which the region prospered from its prime location on the Silk Road between China and Europe. Islam arrived with Arab invaders in the 8th century but the Arabs did not stay long and the region came under the control of the Karakhanid dynasty based in Bokhara shortly afterwards.

The native Kyrgyz are a Turkic people who first settled in the Tien Shan mountains. They were traditionally pastoral nomads. Due to extensive Russian colonization in the 1900s, Russian settlers were given much of the best agricultural land. This led to an unsuccessful and disastrous revolt by the Kyrgyz people in 1916.

On October 14, 1924, the Autonomous Republic of Kyrgyz Kara was established, part of the Soviet Union. On August 31, 1991, the Kyrgyz Supreme Soviet's Declaration of Independence was adopted by the State, formally declaring independence and changing the country's name to the Kyrgyz Republic.

The current flag of Kyrgyzstan was implemented on March 3, 1992. It was the decision of the Supreme Council of Kyrgyzstan to adopt the post-communist flag for their country. The flag is made up of a red area with a yellow sun positioned at its center. The sun has forty regularly distanced rays. In the center of the sun is a ring crisscrossed with three lines. The symbol behind the red color of the flag is for bravery and valor while the signification of the sun means peace and wealth.

The red shade of the standard symbolizes valor and courage. This shading was on the flag of Manas, the legend of the renowned Kyrgyz epic. The word, "Kyrgyz" relates to "red", as a red shading was customarily revered and considered a national shading from times immemorial. The sun, washing in its beams is an image of light, an unfathomable length of time of presence, peace and riches. Picture of the sun takes after a material of Kirghiz nomads` yurt. This is an image of warmth and friendliness, the solidarity of time and space, the wellspring of life and solidarity. 40 beams imply forty Kyrgyz tribes.

Tunduk embodies a paternal house, which also to wider extent represents the world as the universe and cohesion of the peoples living in the republic. The Flag Company Inc specialized in flag designs offered a special edition of decals and flags to memorize the history of Kyrgyzstan Flag for the future.
