The Various Catholic Views Explained

Catholicism is a mainstream Christian faith. It has followers in different parts of the world. Being a believer comes with the responsibility of sticking to particular moral matters. There are different catholic views. Most of them have a strong basis on the Holy Scriptures. Some are the products of human consensus that were arrived at important church meetings. The conference of senior clergy that is held on an annual basis is a time when major church decisions are arrived at. Catholicism shares core beliefs with other Christian churches. This is because the different churches have the same foundation. Devout followers abide to stipulated regulations.

The Bible's supremacy is not a subject of debate in Catholicism circles. It is the foundation upon which other Catholic principles are built upon. The sacred texts are the major points of reference. They shed light on what is right and help people to understand forbidden acts and the costs of disobedience. Through real life examples that are explained one can see where the path of fault leads to. The Bible is not only inspired but it is also error free.

The moral compass of the catholic believer is the Ten Commandments. Abiding to these laws leads to a fruitful life that is in compliance with what The Creator wants and is in accordance with the basic laws of governments. These commandments have addressed many issues of day to day living and morality. People are required to love their Creator with all their hearts and also love their neighbors as they love themselves. Someone who loves his neighbor will not think of doing something bad to him.

Catholicism is firmly rooted in the Holy Trinity. All prayers always make a mention of this holy order. The Supreme Being is one in three. This fact is supposed to be appreciated and understood by every believer.

The sinfulness of humans is something found in the scriptures of this church. It has been indicated clearly that no one is without sin since everyone was born with original sin. Thus, there is need for salvation that comes through baptism. Being baptized involves the pouring of water to the head and the reciting of prayers. After this ritual, a person is required to live a holy life in preparation of the kingdom to come. It is only through repentance, baptism and holiness that a person can have the hope of eternal life in paradise.

Baptism is an important church ritual that every Christian has to pass through. However, to be totally forgiven of sins, one has to believe in the power of baptism. Belief is an important issue in Christianity. Faith as small as the mustard seed can do wonders. It can lead to miracles and is what will facilitate entry into paradise.

Sex has always been a hotly debated issue in Catholicism circles. The very definition of sexual sin has been a point of contention. But the church has always had a strong, conservative position when it comes to sexual matters.

All churches are associated with certain doctrines. In most cases, doctrines are grounded in the Bible. There is the concept of eternal rewards and punishment. Disobedience leads to hell and obedience to paradise.
