The Story Of Dr David Samadi

By Nancy Gardner

Dr. Samadi was born in Iran and lived there until the age of 15 when together with a younger brother, they left and settled in Belgium. Back in Iran, they were raised in a Persian Jewish community. They were compelled to live their country after the Iranian Revolution that took place in 1979. Dr David Samadi and the brother proceeded with their education in Belgium and later London before flying to the US.

David pursued his high school education in New York where he also settled. The degree he holds in biochemistry was earned at Stony Book University. Later, he completed an M. D in urology, graduating from S. U. N. Y in 1994. Montefiore Medical Center is where he undertook his postgraduate studies. Later fellowships and trainings attended revolved around urology, which was his field of interest.

After a few years of practicing at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital where he also became the Vice Chair of the Department of Urology, he moved to Lenox Hill hospital. At Columbia Presbyteria, David was also the Chief of Robotics. When moving to Lenox Hill Hospital, he moved his entire team with him. At Lenox Hill Hospital, Samadi was made the Chair of Urology and Chief of Robotic Surgery. He was also appointed as a Professor of Urology in the School of Medicine at Hofstra North Shore-LIJ.

Samadi is a registered member of American Urological Association as well as American Medical Association. He became the highest paid doctor in New York as a state. His current salary stands at around 7.6 million US Dollars. His specialty is in urologic diseases and various cancers such as the cancer of bladder, prostate, and kidney. He is also board-certified.

David stands out as one of the best in his area of specialization partly because of what he has achieved. He is highly skilled, highly specialized, and highly committed to doing his job in the field of robotic prostate surgery. Diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of the named health conditions are the commitment of his life and careers. He has successfully carried out over six thousand robotic prostate surgeries.

The doctor also developed an advanced SMART prostate cancer surgery technique. So far, he is the only person who has used SMART. It is clear that the level of experience he is very high because not so many people make such sophisticated discoveries. Robotic prostate surgery is minimally invasive and over 89% of all patients are free of cancer after it is done.

The care patients receive when they are served by Samadi is incomparable. The doctor ensures that patients receive personalized care before they go to surgery and after they come out. He also ensures that he does the surgery himself and always with the same team. This ensures high rates of efficiency, consistency, and accuracy in the results achieved on every operation.

Follow up operations and reviews given by clients indicate that sexual function was regained in 83% of all patients. SMART technology eliminates need for a blood transfusion after operation because there is little blood loss. Media achievement include appearing a TV show and making a radio program.
