Third, you have to let each one of your sins out in the open. It is one thing to acknowledge what you have done and another thing to confess them to a priest. Take note that this is the only person who can forgive you in the name of God. So, be able to confess and be worth of Him.
If you never liked the presence of other people, then this attitude of yours has to change from this point onwards. Be reminded that listening to what other people have to say can make you check if your faith is in the right place or not. They may know something that you are unfamiliar of which is why those prayer meetings are important.
You would have to act like your Father is just there beside you. If you would do that, then you would be making sure that everything you do would be in line with His teachings. You would feel guilty when you are about to commit a sin and that would lead you to take the other path instead.
You need to have an open relationship with the minister. Never see this person as a figure of authority alone. Treat Him as your father and ask about the Scriptures if there is something that you do not understand in there. You can even discuss personal issues if you want to.
You would have to read the Bible on a regular basis. That is because this is the book that can provide you with all the answers to your questions. However, it is not enough for you to just go through its pages. You would need to live by it since that is the only way that you can be deserving of Him.
