Since the ancient times up to date we have known that there is an existence of a super natural being, God, who controls the universe and has some rules that we human beings have to follow and live in accordance to. These rules are written in the holy book, the bible which are known as commandments and there are people called pastors who have been assigned by God to remind us of them. However, pastors have had a hard time correcting people due to prophetic pastor opportunities that has brought with it false prophets.
Prophecy is said to foretell what might happen in the future if people do not change their ways or it can be said to be a calamity that is about to unfold. Prophetic pastors on the other hand are a special people chosen by God to deliver His message to the people.
People usually hate to be corrected or reminded of the consequences if they do not follow certain rule that is why true prophets are often rejected and attacked because they speak the truth paving way for the false prophets. False prophetic pastors choose their words carefully and are bold, convincing people that what they say is actually the truth. They analyze issues that mostly affect people, like poverty, failed marriages, sickness etc and pretend to have a solution to them, this way pulling more people in their congregation for their selfish desires.
A church should have prophetical pastors so that they can be able to interpret what is written in the bible, guide them in ways of the Lord and warn them against God impending punishment if they do not change their ways.
A church without a prophetic pastor will eventually wither and start losing its congregation one after the other and lose its true meaning. A church should be a prophetic voice to its nation, in that it should be able to warn or guide people on certain things against the laws of the bible.
Another characteristic that they posses is that they pretend to be able to speak in tongues, having the power to heal and performing all sorts of miracles. Mainly most of them know that most people seek repentance and be wealthy and from these they have been able to earn their source of income in the wrong way using the name of the Lord to benefit.
It has become difficult to differentiate the true prophetic pastors from the false one. But some of the common characteristics that the false prophets posses are; their desire for money and power. The bible says that their hearts are trained to be greedy. Only a true Christian with a lot of faith has the gift to know the right from wrong.
These prophets promise people freedom/salvation while they are slaves of destructive habits. They are bold and confident that if someone is not careful they will believe that what they say is actually the truth. The interesting thing is that when these false prophets stand by their words quoting some verses in the bible that are likely to favor them.
