Chronological Bible Reading Ideas To Get You Reading The Word

Bible reading is not easy for anyone who is so much busy with the normal life. It takes a passion, willingness and thirst to hunger and interest to develop a chronological Bible reading attitude. With some books in the Old and New Testament being difficult to read and understand, it seems almost impossible to understand what some spiritual aspects.

Everything starts with a plan. Because you know you are going to church on Sunday, your preparations for that day usually starts the night before or very early in the morning of the actual day. This means you have not gone to the house of worship because people are there but because you had a plan to meet with the community of believers.

Reading the Bible from Genesis all the way through Revelation can be fun for real. The good thing is that it is the only inspiring book that there ever was and always will be. It contains the inspiring messages about life on earth and life to come. The word of God is the only channel through which you get to know more about Jesus, the Son of the Almighty.

Prayer is the key to being a good reader of the word of God. You need to pray to God always and in your prayers, you should ask Him to give you the zeal and the desire to read his word on a regular basis. You need to ask Him to give you the strength to always grab his word every morning and evening and read it to understand who He really is and his plans and vision for humanity.

Make it your habit to read the scriptures given to you during the service. There are instances where your pastor will ask you to take some scriptures and read the at home. This is helpful as it will enable you to not only build passion for Bible reading but also become a regular reader with an understanding o f the essence of the word of God.

Have the habit of writing down the scriptures given to you during the Sunday service or the normal Biblical studies classes. Doing this is great because it will train you to become accustomed to the word of God more than you are attracted to romance books and state newspapers. You will start becoming a good reader regardless of your level of understanding about the word of God.

Take time to read a scripture every morning before you leave for work and every night before going to bed. Pray before you read the word, as this will inspire you to get an understanding of what you read, especially its spiritual interpretation. Pray when you finish reading as this is an important way to asking God to let his word wok in you.

Buy a bible study guide from the local bookstore. This book has a good yearly reading plan that can aid you read Genesis to Revelation. You need a year to read the entire book.
