Are you aware of what makes a great leader? Of course, you do know some things, but you don't know everything because we are not perfect. One of the things that makes a great leader is having an open mind when presented with opportunities to learn. In this article we'll share a few tips that hopefully you can start using to become a better leader in business, work or with your family.

Leaders have a lot of different qualities but one of the main qualities you'll find in a leader is that they can easily identify and appreciate the talents of others. Being able to appreciate the effort, hard work and dedication of those that are close to you whether in business or in your personal life will help you gain respect.

Be ethical when dealing with others. In order for your business to be successful in the long-term, being ethical is key. Knowing a company is ethical makes consumers trust them much more. You can make sure that your employees follow the rules if you develop a company policy on ethics.

Consideration is something you don't see a lot in workplaces, usually you have a boss and not a leader. As a leader you should always show your appreciation to partners, employees or co-workers because they'll appreciate you as a person and will show the same respect. This is how you gain admiration among those that work with you.

A major quality every leader in history has is tenacity. The ability to inspire and motivate people when things don't work out as planned is something that not a lot of people can do. Only leaders can develop this quality and what makes a great leader is the combination of all the qualities we have mentioned in this article. Take the time to research, read and study successful leaders in history and don't be afraid to learn as much as you can to grow not only as a person but as a better human being.
