Interviews With Successful People - Raphael Yadgaroff - Krav Maga Instructor

By Kelly R. Crumble

Krav Maga was something I had only heard about recently, when a friend of mine mentioned that he knew someone who taught it. My friend put me in touch with this guy, Raphael Yadgaroff, and we soon arranged a time to conduct an interview. One of the primary things that interests me about martial artists is the winning mentality that they often possess. Whether or not one is interested in martial arts, these positive outlooks can be applied to any area of life.

However, in order to get best results one needs to take a structured course with a definite start and end date. It helps you in becoming effective within short duration. Some courses are taught in intense manner in two days and for some training is given on one night per week which continues for 12 weeks. Krav-Maga does not include katas, Dojo Rules or even Budo Mumbo Jumbo which is included in traditional Martial Arts. It uses hand to hand combat uses technique that has really been effective on both the street as well as battlefield to deal with violent encounter. One needs to be physically fit to be expert in these trainings. Its classes are mainly based on Cardio and they make you continuously drill self-defense techniques.

It's Training classes provide training on a variety of fight patterns that will prove to be highly effective while fighting your enemy. The training classes give specialized training on various self defense tactics against common attack types like choke holds, arm grabs and bear hugs. It also teaches the basics of fighting, for example, identifying the vulnerable areas of the enemy and attacking that part of the enemy's body. Further training is given on competitive handling of weapons such as guns, knives and sticks.

What Motivated You To Study Martial Arts?I started Krav when I was about 15 or 16. Basically I just decided that I would get some training in and learn to fight. I got into a fight in Primrose Hill in London, and I realised I had no clue what I was doing. I found out that my biology teacher was an instructor, so I spoke to him and started a class. It went pretty well from there. I found I had a natural talent for it.Why Krav Maga? Well, it was a system that he taught, and I also looked into it after that. It looked like a very good system to work with, a reality based fighting system. I didn't want to do a martial art. I had done karate when I was eight, and I couldn't connect reality to it. I was in a karate lesson, and it didn't go out of the lesson. When I was doing Krav, it was all about when you're in the street and when someone comes up to you. It seemed more practical, so I chose Krav.

These Classes not only teaches you how to fight, but to finish your attacker as quickly and efficiently as possible, this ensures your safety for the longer you fight the more of the chance to get hurt,It seems like these classes are popping up all around the country. However, since KM is still catching on, schools and studios can be hard to find if you are not in a major metropolitan area. So I'm going to give you several ways to find a club near you as well as some online alternatives. The first tip is to do a search on Google for a KM center near you. Also, realize that these schools go by varying names: school, institute, academy, and studio. Try all forms of these words to cast the widest "search net" on the Internet.

Finding the best Krav-Maga instructor is not an easy task. Check the following points before choosing your Instructor,First and foremost, you should look for the qualification of the Krav Maga instructor. This apart, you should also consider the experience of the instructor. Nowadays, you can get the best instructor who has more than 10 years of hands-on experience in Krav Maga. They may have been involved in the training or working in armed forces or special assignments like body guards for VIPs, etc. Their vast experience will prove to be an asset for the candidates. The best Krav-Maga instructor must be a black-belt level trainer, who can impart the right knowledge and skills that prepare his disciples to react under any situation in a controlled manner.

Make sure that you need to learn the skills to both neutralize the opponent while also preparing themselves to fight fiercely. This training is highly useful for people aspiring to become security personnel or body guards.it is a self defense system developed and used by the Israeli elite military unit. This martial art covers striking, wrestling and grappling techniques.

Krav Mag a Self Defence system which originated in Israel. It is the official tactical combat system of the Israeli Army. The name roughly translates to 'Close Combat' all Israeli Army Recruits including Women, receive basic Training in Krav Maga.Krav Maga emphasis the use of the body's instinctive reactions, the kind of moves the body makes under pressure. What Do You Think Are The Most Important Elements To Being Successful? Drive. As long as you're driven to do it, and you put your mind towards it. Go for it. Give it a go. There is nothing stopping you. If you want something to stop you, you'll come up with the excuse. If you want to do it, you'll come up with a way to do it.What Are Your Future Plans? At the moment, I plan to pass my driving test and try to teach Krav for as long as possible, even try and get it to be a bit bigger in the area. Since I seem to have a very good business going on at the moment, I am going to try and improve on that.Interview By Oliver J R Cooper,I had seen Raphael in a few pictures, but this didn't fill my mind with too many impressions. As I had met three martial artists already, I was curious as to what this Krav Maga instructor would be like.

Students who learn the system will also be taught on how to respond on any attack using quick combinations of counter attacks. In addition, students will also learn to maintain their awareness of their surroundings and environment to identify potential threats.Basic Krav Maga training includes a warm up session and a session to identify critical pressure points on a human body. Identifying these points is crucial because they are going to be the target for attack if you want to neutralize your opponent quickly.
