Top Tips For The Wedding Of Your Dreams

By Judy A. Tawan

The moment of engagement is high on the list of the most highly romantic moments in any relationship. Planning a wedding, however, isn't always so romantic. Sometimes it stresses one or both future spouses out and may even lead to relationship trouble. If a couple uses the following tips, however, they can maintain the romance of their relationship even while planning the wedding.

Understand that all who are supporting you and helping with your wedding are doing it out of love, as you should show them respect and appreciate what they are doing for you. Do not become a "bridezilla", as this can alienate a lot of people and put a damper on the days leading up to your wedding.

If you live in a larger city, consider looking into smaller cities for a location to have your wedding. Venues are more expensive in the large cities. If you have a small city close to where you live, check out what it has to offer. You may find a great venue for a reasonable price just by changing your venue city.

Don't starve yourself to fit in your wedding dress! Like a mixed martial arts fighter preparing for a fight, you will end up dehydrated and light-headed if you try to rush losing weight. You don't want to faint as you're saying your I do's! Instead, buy a dress with a corset back so you can take it in or out as necessary on the day of your vows.

Find out before your wedding ceremony when and where you are permitted to take photographs. Some venues won't permit flash photography at all, while some officiants don't want anyone taking photos while they are conducting the ceremony. If you find out the rules ahead of time you can plan out the shots you are allowed to take beforehand.

Before your wedding, one of the things that you will want to make sure to do is book the flight and destination for your honeymoon. This will give you something to look forward to if your wedding is stressing you out. Use a good travel agent to reduce the costs and maximize your enjoyment for your honeymoon.

If you are planning a wedding, it may benefit you to plan it in an off month. Two of the cheapest months to get married in are October and November. Marriages like anything else are a business. The demand for weddings in these months is very low, so to try to generate higher demand prices are lower.

Don't make your guests wait while you take all of your photos. Photos of the bride and her party and the groom and his groomsmen should be taken ahead of time. Pictures with the bride or groom and their respective parents can also be taken ahead of time, reducing the amount of time guests have to wait for your arrival at the reception.

Treat yourself or another bride-to-be with a memorable, unique keepsake: a sculpted cake topper or paper sculpture of the bride's wedding dress. Send in a detailed photograph of the bridal gown, and a talented mixed-media artist will replicate it using archival glue and acid-free paper. The creation will last for decades and can be easily displayed at the reception or in the home.

As stated at the beginning of the article, your wedding photographs are something you will look at and cherish for the rest of your life. This article has hopefully given you some great tips for choosing a reputable wedding photographer, who will accurately capture the memories of your big day with lasting, quality photos.
